Hey Spencer, hope your holiday weekend was a good one.

Glad to see Robb and Clay coming to convocation. They represent your alumni club and Eta Epsilon very well.

Looks like you are making progress on initiating past members that had their funds misplaced. Agree with you to give one more attempt and then we can finalize with the 8 or so you have that are ready to go. Unfortunately we can't substitute people for the three that dropped out. The reason is that we issue a national number and a local number to each initiate and they can't be substituted or replaced. Just one of those things that has been in place since we started with national number 0001. Sorry about that.

Regarding the lifting of suspension for brothers that have been placed on that status....I think it is a generous offer and could be a good way to get alumni involved once again.
The main reason the majority of these people are on a suspended list is that they owed big dollars to the chapter. I think it would be appropriate to have them make a financial contribution to the alumni club. This is very fair. Perhaps they have matured and realize that this is a real chance to recoup a valuable lifetime membership. Like the idea of them supporting our Educational Foundation as we really use this money to help our undergrads in a variety of ways but getting them to assist the Alumni association is probably a good first step. Upon them assisting the Alumni association and you verifying the action, I will update their status. Good plan Spencer!!!

Regarding our return...I agree with you on all points. We are much better prepared on local and national level than ever before. We will start clean and the alumni will play a major role in mentoring our colony. Just because it didn't work last time should not prevent us from trying it again. We need Eta Epsilon chapter back and I'm optimistic we can make it happen.

All the best Spencer,

Fraternally,
